Day One, Art Start

2. Read Renoir And The Boy With The Long Hair by Wendy Wax
3. Discussion Questions "What do you see in this painting? Why are there no shadows int hep painting? what is the backstory behind this painting? Who is Renoir? What is the meaning behind a girl with a watering can? What is the art style of a girl with a watering can? What is the little girl wearing? Is it fancy or play clothes? What is she holding? Why would she wear such fancy clothes in the garden? Have you ever dressed up for someone to take a picture of you? Would you like to hold still for a long time so someone could paint your portrait? What colors do you see? Are the colors light or dark?"

1. Choose 12" X 15" Drawing Paper
2. Add three dimensional shapes (cylinder, pyramid, sphere) to compositional of arranged objects (watering can, flowers, cement) of watering can paintings
3. Add a horizon line in the negative space (background) to separate the garden from the foreground (watering can) of the watering can paintings
